Innovations for the Additive Manufacturing Workflow

Since adding Formlabs to the URMA portfolio, we have expanded our offering in additive manufacturing. At the first Formlabs Community Brunch, we will present the latest technologies from Formlabs and DyeMansion.

The focus will not only be on the machines themselves, but also on how new solutions can be meaningfully integrated into industrial 3D printing workflows — from production and post-processing all the way to the ready-to-use part.

This exciting program awaits you:

09:00 a.m. Community Brunch
09:30 a.m. Welcome Frank Gersbach, URMA AG
09:45 a.m. Formlabs product innovation:
Fuse X1 – the new SLS system
Formlabs
11:00 a.m. Innovation from DyeMansion:
VX1 – new possibilities in post-processing
DyeMansion
12:00 p.m. Tour of the Experience Center

The presentations will be held in German, with English translation available if needed.

Formlabs Fuse X1

Fuse X1 is a large-format industrial SLS 3D printer, built for engineers, manufacturers, and service bureaus looking to produce large prototypes and high-volume end-use parts with a faster turnaround. Its massive build volume and high packing density enable same-day large parts and 3x the throughput compared to competing platforms. Setup takes about an hour, print-to-print changeover takes minutes, and the same end-to-end workflow handles extraction, powder reclaiming, and finishing – moving parts from printed to polished in as little as 15 minutes.

DyeMansion VX1

The DyeMansion VX1 is an innovative vapor smoothing system for the automated post-processing of 3D-printed plastic parts. Using a precise chemical smoothing process, rough surfaces are transformed into smooth, sealed, and water-repellent finishes – without affecting dimensional accuracy or mechanical strength. The system is compatible with a wide range of materials, including PA12, PA11, and TPU, delivering consistent, industrial-grade results. This technology enables efficient and cost-effective series production with high-quality, injection-mold–like surfaces.
