URMA MX: The New Benchmark in High-Performance Milling
(Juri Wehrs, Director Engineering Tools)

URMA MX represents a new generation of high-performance milling. The modular tool concept combines advanced cutting materials, optimized geometries, and innovative machining strategies—delivering maximum process reliability, precision, and cost efficiency.

A key feature is the high-precision quick-change system with integrated runout compensation. It allows repeatable insert changes without readjustment, reducing setup times and improving reproducibility in the machining process.

Thanks to high-strength carbide cutting rings with material-specific coatings, high machining parameters are achievable even under unstable conditions. The “thick to thin chip” milling strategy further contributes to consistent cutting force distribution and improved chip formation.

The result: increased efficiency, longer tool life, and reproducible quality in high-performance machining.

Face milling, shoulder milling, for finishing and roughing: With its new range of milling tools, URMA is setting new standards for optimal performance and process reliability. Discover MX diamond and MX boronite now – for maximum precision!
