Honing is a fine machining process used to improve the running accuracy, surface quality, and dimensional precision of bores, cylinders, or other workpiece holes. Rotating honing stones are applied under light pressure, removing fine material particles from the workpiece.
Thanks to advanced tool technology, URMA honing tools allow bores to be fully finished on a machining center after preliminary machining. This enables precise bores with optimal surface quality to be produced in a single step, without additional post-processing or separate honing machines.
