A quick-change system is a mechanism that allows tools or tool holders to be exchanged quickly and easily on machines without extensive setup procedures.
Thanks to the unique URMA RX interface, cutting rings can be replaced in a very short time without additional adjustment, achieving repeatability within a few micrometers. Fast and precise tool changes significantly increase productivity and reduce machine downtime.
This system is used in all URMA modular tool systems, including MX face milling systems, RX high-performance reaming systems, and RH reaming/honing systems.
